3 Must-Watch Netflix Movies You May Have Missed in Spring 2025

When Netflix has a loaded lineup of films like Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and the Twilight flicks, it’s easy to see why some of its originals don’t get the same attention.
The streamer’s made-for-Netflix films may not always enter the most popular movies list, but they’re still worth watching.
As we head into the final weeks of the season, the Watch With Us team has selected the three must-watch Netflix movies that you may have missed this spring.
Our picks include an action thriller, a disaster movie and a drama that goes off in some dark and comedic directions.

‘Exterritorial’ (2025)
If Tom Cruise ever returns in another Mission: Impossible movie, he may want to team up with German actress Jeanne Goursaud following her starring turn in Exterritorial. This action thriller casts Goursaud as Sara Wulf, an ex-Special Forces soldier and the single mother of a young child named Josh (Rickson Guy da Silva). During a routine visit to the U.S. consulate in Germany, Sara attempts to line up a work visa while Josh waits in a play area for kids. When Sara returns, Josh is missing, and no one believes she came with her child.
Sara’s pleas for help fall on deaf ears when even the security footage suggests she arrived alone. Since German police have no authority in the consulate, Sara goes rogue and risks her life to search the complex for her son. What she discovers is a shocking conspiracy and an excuse to unload on any of the soldiers who are foolish enough to get between Sara and her child.

‘Bullet Train Explosion’ (2025)
There’s a reason why the premise for Bullet Train Explosion sounds a lot like Speed on a train. That classic 1994 Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock action flick was partially inspired by the 1975 Japanese film, The Bullet Train. Bullet Train Explosion is a loose sequel to that film, and it takes place on the Hayabusa 60, a bullet train under a threat to maintain its speed or else everyone on board will be killed by a bomb.

The enigmatic bomber also demands an exorbitant amount of money from everyone in Japan in exchange for the lives of the people on board the train. Since the bureaucrats don’t have a solution, conductor Kazuya Takaichi (Tsuyoshi Kusanagi) and his team on the train have to find a way to save as many people as possible. You may be tempted to watch the English dub for its unintended comedic value, but the original Japanese language track has better performances.

‘Delicious’ (2025)
Any comparisons to Parasite or Saltburn are apt for Delicious, a German film that recently debuted on Netflix. For the main characters, Esther (Valerie Pachner) and John (Fahri Yardim), anything other than the good life is an inconvenience to them. Even accidentally hitting a young woman, Teodora (Carla Diaz), with their car isn’t a problem that can’t be solved by throwing money at it.
When Teodora returns and asks for a job, it seems like a fair exchange. But the film reveals pretty quickly that Teodora faked the full extent of her injuries. Teodora is so good at insinuating herself with Esther, John and their children that there has to be a reason why she went through so much to get there. Without giving away any major spoilers, there is some bad karma heading John and Esther’s way, and Teodora is at the center of it.
