Dua Lipa Goes ‘Insane’ With Jamiroquai At Massive London Gig

Dua Lipa pulled out all the stops last night (June 20) for her debut concert at London’s giant Wembley Stadium, bringing out surprise guest Jamiroquai for their first live performance together of the latter’s 1996 hit “Virtual Insanity” and dusting off “Hotter Than Hell” for the first time since 2019.
Decked out in purple pants, a frilly white shirt and a purple top hat, the artist born Jay Kay beamed, “What a privilege and an honor to be onstage with you. Are we gonna do this?” Kay handled most of the first verse before Lipa joined him for the chorus, and she then sang the second verse as Kay added vocal ad-libs on top. Kay offered an extended vamp at the song’s conclusion before exiting with a “thanks, guys! See you later.”

One song earlier, Lipa introduced “Hotter Than Hell” to the 75,000-strong crowd as “the song that got me signed, and it’s the song that started everything. With weather like this, there’s only one song I could do.”
Throughout, the artist showed off several new looks, such as a silver custom Swarovski bodysuit, a white lace Valentino catsuit, a glittered Courreges bodysuit and matching gloves and a blue Balenciaga slip dress topped paired with a faux fur coat with a U.K. flag interior.
Lipa is back at Wembley tonight and will begin a North American arena tour on Sept. 1 in Toronto. The dates come in support of her latest album, 2024’s Radical Optimism, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
