“Love seeing your sweet daddy! Thanks for sharing! We wish him all the best!” one person commented on the post.
“As a dad I’m telling you that the hug you gave him was priceless,” a second person wrote.
The photos were posted just a few days after the Willis family celebrated the birthday of Bruce’s wife, Emma Heming Willis. Emma, 47, spent the day with Bruce’s ex-wife, Demi Moore, as well as Moore and Bruce’s daughter Rumer Willis. Rumer, 36, brought her daughter, Louetta, 2, along for the festivities. Bruce’s two younger children, Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11, whom he shares with Emma, were also in attendance.
“Over the past few weeks, I’ve been wrapped in so much love for my birthday,” Emma captioned a June 19 Instagram post from her birthday celebration. “From Bruce, our girl’s, my mom, my family, and dear friends. I feel their love and support holding me up in ways words can’t always capture. Thank you to everyone who sent birthday wishes. I truly felt your continued kindness and I’m grateful. I had a beautiful day.”

The family has been very candid on social media about Bruce’s health battle over the past few years. They first announced in March 2022 that the actor was diagnosed with aphasia, a disorder that causes language comprehension and speaking impairments. One year later, the family revealed that his condition had progressed to frontotemporal dementia.
Frontotemporal dementia can “cause deterioration in behavior, personality and/or difficulty with producing or comprehending language,” per the Alzheimer’s Association.

Rumer recently opened up on Father’s Day about how much life has changed since Bruce’s diagnosis.
“Today is hard, I feel a deep ache in my chest to talk to you and tell you everything I’m doing and what’s going on in my life,” she wrote via Instagram on June 15 along with a series of photos of her and her dad. “To hug you and ask you about life and your stories and struggles and successes.”
Rumer continued, “I wish I asked you more questions while you could still tell me about it all. But I know you wouldn’t want me to be sad today so I’ll try to just be grateful reminding myself how lucky I am that you’re my dad and that you’re still with me and I can still hold you and hug you and kiss your cheek and rub your head I can tell you stories.”
She concluded the post saying that Bruce’s “eyes light up” when he sees granddaughter Louetta.
