10 Most Popular Netflix Movies Streaming Right Now (May 5-11)

Change comes quickly at Netflix, with the streamer constantly rolling out a diverse programming slate of classic films, cult titles and new releases. This week’s most popular movies list is reflective of that approach, with most films wildly different from each other.
On the one hand, there’s a pair of Twilight movies and two low-budget action films no one’s heard of; on the other, there’s a sentimental dramedy with Susan Sarandon, a Tim Burton sequel with Jenna Ortega, a DreamWorks kids flick and a documentary about a love affair gone horribly wrong.
We haven’t even mentioned the horror movie about a killer who wears a mask with hearts for eyes! To find out more about the 10 most popular Netflix movies, please check out Watch With Us’ list below.

It’s no surprise that this new Vince Vaughn comedy shot straight to No. 1 soon after it debuted — it’s sweet and reassuring, and it follows a formula that made Moonstruck and Steel Magnolias big hits in the late ‘80s.
Vaughn stars as Joe, who tries to get over his mother’s death by opening a restaurant with Italian grandmothers as cooks. The restaurant is a success, but can Joe find a way to reconcile with his loss and move on with his life?
Every once in a while, a movie no one’s ever heard of will storm Netflix’s streaming charts. The latest one is Exterritorial, an action film starring Jeanne Goursaud as Sara, an Afghan War veteran whose son goes missing at the U.S. Consulate in Germany.
It’s an understatement to say that Sara is pissed off, and she’s on a quest to find her son and punish those who dared to take her child.
The latest true-crime documentary to place on Netflix’s most popular movies list is A Deadly American Marriage, which tells the true story of Jason Corbet and Molly Martens, a married couple whose domestic bliss ended in murder.
Utilizing interviews with detectives involved in the case, A Deadly American Marriage weaves a spellbinding narrative that is both fascinating and chilling. It’s not that big of a surprise that Netflix subscribers can’t get enough of it.
Go back to where it all started by watching the first Twilight, which launched the careers of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. In this YA gothic romance, new-in-town Bella Swan (Stewart) is drawn to a mysterious — and very pale — classmate, Edward Cullen.
He seems to like her, too, but he’s also hiding a secret that Bella is desperate to uncover. Will the teenager’s curiosity cause her to lose Edward’s affections — and possibly her life?
Only a zany DreamWorks animated children’s film can unite a vocal cast that includes Steve Martin, Jennifer Lopez, Jim Parsons and Rihanna. In Home, aliens called the Boov have taken over Earth and sent many humans to Australia to live.
Gratuity “Tip” Tucci (Rihanna) was left behind in all the chaos, and she’s desperate to find her mother. Can a rogue Boov, Oh (Parsons), help the little girl? Or will he follow orders and send her to live with the other humans?
The long-awaited sequel to the classic 1988 supernatural comedy was a big hit in 2024 and is just as popular on Netflix in 2025. When Lydia (Winona Ryder) and her teenage daughter, Astrid (Jenna Ortega), move back to her family home in Connecticut, both women soon encounter supernatural forces that leave them no choice but to ask for the help of the Ghost with the Most, Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton). But can Lydia trust the man who once wanted to marry her and kill her parents?
Picking up where Twilight left off, New Moon continues the love story of Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) as new challenges — and a new love — threaten their romance.
When Edward breaks up with her, Bella sinks into depression, with only her loyal friend Jacob (Taylor Lautner) bringing her out of her funk. Will their friendship blossom into something more?
Two unlikely genres collide in Heart Eyes, a 2025 rom-com horror film about a serial killer murdering couples on Valentine’s Day.
Ally (Olivia Holt) and Jay (Mason Gooding) are the slasher’s latest targets, but are they savvy and lucky enough to survive a killer who is seemingly impossible to stop?
Expert snipers Brandon Beckett (Chad Michael Collins) and Agent Zero (Ryan Robbins) are very good at their jobs, so maybe that’s why they’re assigned to take down a ruthless arms dealer (Arnold Vosloo) in Costa Verde.
But with their ammo running low and the clock ticking, both men will have to rely on all their skills — and a little luck — to finish the job and stay alive.
The Lost Bullet action trilogy concludes with Last Bullet, a 2025 film that instantly placed on Netflix’s most-watched movies of the week.
In this final chapter, Lino (Alban Lenoir) is released from prison and is already hellbent on getting revenge for the death of a former friend. But a deadlier enemy awaits, and Lino will have to ally himself with his friend’s killer to stay alive.
