Impressive Posters by Albert Guillaume From the Late 19th Century

Albert Guillaume, born in Paris in 1873, was a French painter and caricaturist celebrated for his satirical illustrations and striking Belle Époque posters.
His sharp, humorous drawings appeared in major Parisian humor magazines, where he cleverly critiqued the social and political climate of his time. Influenced by Jules Chéret, he also crafted theater and advertising posters that were featured in the prestigious *Les Maîtres de l’Affiche* collection. Guillaume’s legacy extended to illustrated books and military-themed albums, and his work earned him a bronze medal at the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris.
