Kylie Jenner’s Hairstylist’s Cause of Death Revealed 3 Months Later

Hairstylist Jesus Guerrero’s cause of death has been revealed nearly three months after his passing.
Us Weekly can confirm that Guerrero died of natural causes. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner revealed that the hairstylist died of pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP) and disseminated cryptococcus neoformans, which are fungal infections that can severely impact those with weakened immune systems.
Guerrero, a celebrity hairstylist for stars like Kylie Jenner, died “suddenly and unexpectedly” on February 22 at age 34.
Us spoke to Jesus’ sister, Gris Guerrero, who confirmed that her brother had been in the hospital prior to his death.

“We have so many questions and a lot doesn’t make sense,” she shared in March, revealing that her brother had experienced a bout of gastritis prior to his death. Gris noted that her brother kept any illnesses that he suffered to himself.
“He didn’t tell a lot of people,” she shared. “People who saw him said, ‘You need to get rest and help,’ and he seemed to believe he could push through it and get better and unfortunately that wasn’t the case.”

Jenner, 27, was close with the late hairstylist and has spoken candidly about his sudden loss.
“Found this video from [October 2024]. I thought I could get through today without crying, but the ache of missing you hit all over again,” she captioned an Instagram Story post on April 26. “Grief isn’t getting easier.”
Jenner noted that she’s been “getting lonelier” following Jesus’ death. “I miss you so much,” she added. “Why aren’t you here? Every first without you hurts [so much].”

The Kardashians star detailed her close-knit friendship with Jesus in a lengthy Instagram caption following the news of his death.
“Jesus was more than my friend — he was a light in my life, a source of laughter, comfort, love and unwavering support,” Jenner wrote in February. “I don’t know how I would have made it through the last almost decade without him by my side. He had a way of making even the heaviest days feel lighter.”
She added: “Thank you, Jesus, for always being there for me, for lifting me up, for being my friend. The pain of losing you is just unbearable and I don’t know how to move forward without you but I know great grief is born only of great love. and I loved you so much. You were the best person, with a talent that was unmatched. a true artist. You inspired so many, and you always will.”
