Below Deck’s Kate Chastain Apologizes to Captain Kerry for Ignoring Him

Below Deck’s Kate Chastain issued a public apology to Captain Kerry Titheradge after he revealed she ignored him at BravoCon.
During the Monday, June 2, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Kerry, 48, was playing a game with Hannah Ferrier when he revealed Kate, 42, was the Bravolebrity he didn’t get along with off screen.
“I don’t think she likes me,” he noted about a BravoCon run-in. “She said hello to my girlfriend and everyone at the table [at an event] but not me.”
Kate replied via Instagram, writing, “Omg I’m so sorry @capt_kerry ! There was a lot going on .”

Captain Kerry Titheradge’s admission that fellow Below Deck star Kate Chastain allegedly hasn’t been nice to him in the past took Bravo fans by surprise.
Kerry admitted the interaction hurt his feelings “a lot,” saying, “I am a very sensitive person. Under all this, I am a very sensitive guy.”
While weighing in on the surprising admission, Hannah, 38, confirmed she saw Kerry affected by the situation. “He genuinely told me at dinner last night that he did have his feelings hurt a little but —” she said before Kerry added, “I don’t know what I did. Or what I am supposed to do.”
The revelation about where Kerry and Kate stand came as a surprise to Us after The Traitors alum previously praised the captain.
“I think Captain Kerry has done a fantastic job,” she exclusively told Us Weekly in June 2024. “I like that he’s a very accurate portrayal of a yacht captain. He’s stern but he’s very good. He’s talented at his job and he’s got that Australian accent, which I always love.”
Kerry took over on Below Deck in season 11 after Captain Lee Rosbach‘s exit. Kate worked with Captain Lee from seasons 2 to 8 before her own departure. Captain Lee, 75, meanwhile, remained on the show until Us broke the news that Kerry was coming onboard permanently after his predecessor faced multiple health issues.
“That came right out of left field. I did not see that one coming at all,” Lee told Us in May 2023. “[I was told], ‘We would like to move in a new direction.’ But I mean, that’s kind of a cliche that everybody uses when they find themselves in that situation where they’re going to let somebody go. ‘I’m going to move in a new direction. We want to freshen it up a little.’ [They are] tired cliches that get overused.”

Lee went on to team up with Kate Chastain for Bravo’s Coach Talk With Captain Lee and Kate. He also hosted the Oxygen true crime series titled Deadly Waters.
Kerry, meanwhile, credited all the Below Deck captains for supporting him amid his transition from Below Deck Adventure.
“Everybody [reached out]. On the way down to Grenada, I was chatting with Lee in the car. He was talking about the boat. He talked about Fraser [Olender] and Ben [Willoughby],” he explained to Us in May 2024. “[Captain] Jason [Chambers] reached out. [Captain] Glenn [Shephard] reached out. We pick on each other a lot, so he calls me his stunt double. It’s a big family. We genuinely are. It’s great.”
