Cruz Beckham seemingly took a dig at his brother Brooklyn’s career aspirations as a reported feud continues to engulf their famous family.

On Sunday, June 22, Cruz, 20, posted a video via TikTok of himself playing the guitar and performing his song “For Ya Love.”

“Are you going to stick with this job or going to become a race car driver next or something?” one follower commented on the video.

Cruz responded, “Wrong brother mate.”

The response was seemingly a reference to Brooklyn, 26, who has dabbled with a variety of professional pursuits over the years, including photography, cooking and, yes, race car driving.

“I’ve always been a fan of racing and really enjoyed it,” Brooklyn told The Daily Mail in March after undergoing training for Evo Sessions, a race around the Miami International Autodrome. “It’s what I’m passionate about. And I’ve given it my all. Put my head down and I’m not listening to anyone And, yeah, I’m just doing my thing really.”

Brooklyn also recently launched his own line of hot sauces, Cloud23, in October 2024.

Cruz’s assumed dig at his brother became fodder for his TikTok followers in the comment section.

“Cruz is so sassy in the comments and I am here for it! 😂😂,” one person wrote.

Another said, “Oh….the shade 😭.”

Cruz and Brooklyn are currently not on speaking terms after a family rift blew up last month

Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, chose not to attend the 50th birthday party of Brooklyn and Cruz’s father, David Beckham, over distaste for their brother Romeo Beckham’s relationship with his then-girlfriend, Kim Turnbull

Romeo and Turnbull broke up a few weeks after the party after seven months of dating.

Amid the fracture in the family — which has seen Brooklyn and Nicola, 30, drop all communication with all parties involved — Cruz has taken Romeo’s side. Cruz was even accused of mocking Nicola on social media in the days after the birthday party.

As the tension rages on, Brooklyn and Nicola have cemented their roots stateside while the rest of the family maintains their home base in England.

How Family Drama Played a Role in Romeo Beckham’s Split From Kim Turnbull

The couple, who got married in April 2022, purchased a $16 million home in Beverly Hills’ famous Trousdale Estates neighborhood, Us Weekly exclusively revealed last week.

A source explained that Brooklyn and Nicola’s big purchase was not connected to their family’s current state of affairs.

“This house has nothing to do with family dynamics,” the insider said. “Both Nicola and Brooklyn’s careers are based in Los Angeles, and Brooklyn spent part of his childhood there while his father played for [the MLS’] L.A. Galaxy.”

The insider added, “During that time, he attended school in L.A. for several years and built a life and friendships in the city. L.A. has always felt like home to him.”
