FLASHBACK: Colbert Taunts Robert Hur Over Biden Testimony

Stephen Colbert mocked President Joe Biden’s mental acuity last year … but only after the June 27 presidential debate debacle.
“The Late Show” host spent the preceding months pretending Biden was fit for duty.
And he wasn’t alone.
Is Jake Tapper co-authoring Biden book comparable to O.J. Simpson writing “If I Did It”? @MeghanMcCain explains to @markhalperin why Tapper’s name on “Original Sin” is similar to O.J.’s infamous non-confession confession.

Colbert’s comic subterfuge looks even worse this week.
We’re being inundated with excerpts from “Original Sin,” co-written by Democratic activist Jake Tapper. The book shares shocking details about Biden’s cognitive decline, much of it Tapper covered up over the past few years.
Now, a second Biden bombshell has dropped.
We can now hear Biden stumbling through his 2023 testimony for Special Counsel Robert Hur regarding the possible mishandling of sensitive documents. The Axios exclusive quickly went viral across news outlets.
In one audio clip, Biden struggles to recall the year his son Beau died. Beau died of brain cancer on May 30, 2015, at the age of 46. The audio shows that Biden could remember the month and day, but struggled to recall the year until he was prompted by members of the special counsel’s team.
Said testimony led Hur to categorize the Commander in Chief as “a well-meaning, elderly man with poor memory.”
That sentence enraged Legacy Media reporters, still pretending Biden’s brain hadn’t been compromised by an undiagnosed illness. They attacked Hur and the report’s conclusions.
ABC’s Jon Karl & Preetinder Bharara pretend it’s AWFUL that Robert Hur would mention Biden’s mental state. Sarah Isgur arrives to explain reality: Hur had to mention the mental state would make it hard to convince a jury to convict Mr. Magoo as a national security threat. pic.twitter.com/XHrdpcFmTC

Colbert did the same from his CBS pulpit last year after the report’s release.
“This kind of assessment is sort of outside the normal job description of a special counsel… It would be like your doctor saying, ‘Well, we ran some tests, Mr Johnson, and, uh, your cholesterol looks very good, but I am worried about how ugly you are.’”
Colbert brought up a recent gaffe from President Donald Trump to suggest he was the one with a faulty memory, ignoring endless clips of Biden’s forgetful nature. He also cherry-picked from the report to twist Hur’s conclusions.
“What do you know, it’s not as ‘old-man-forgets-a-lot’ as his summary made it out to be,” Colbert said, pointing to one part which details “…you… appear to have a photographic understanding…and recall…”
“So, it’s the exact opposite of his report summary,” Colbert said. “At this point, I’m worried about Hur’s cognitive ability.”
Colbert spent four years spinning on Biden’s behalf. Then, weeks before the infamous debate, the regime comic appeared at a Biden fundraising event.
