Frida Kahlo self-portrait sells for $54.7 million, sets new record for female artists
Frida Kahlo’s 1940 self-portrait “El sueño (La cama)” sold for $54.66 million in New York on Thursday, Sotheby’s said, setting a record for the most expensive painting by a woman.
