Jenna Johnson Is ‘Here’ for ‘DWTS’ Alum JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes

Jenna Johnson is supportive of former Dancing With the Stars partner JoJo Siwa’s connection to Chris Hughes.

“I, firsthand, know that love happens when you least expect it,” Johnson, 31, said to Entertainment Tonight on Monday, May 26, while on the red carpet for the American Music Awards. “I’m just happy for her.”

Johnson, who was paired with Siwa, 22, for DWTS season 30, added that all she wants is the best for Siwa.

“I want her to be happy and enjoy young love,” she gushed. “So I’m here for it.”

Fellow DWTS pro Ezra Sosa shared similar sentiments for Siwa.

“She’s my best friend. I must say she’s punctual with relationships,” Sosa, 24, quipped to ET. “Lord knows what’s happening.”

All jokes aside, Sosa noted that he can see “a lot of similarities” between Siwa and Hughes’ bond and his own dynamic with the Dance Moms alum.

“When I was on tour with JoJo, we were super close and really bonded,” Sosa explained. “And I see that very much with her and Chris.”

Sosa added that seeing Siwa and Hughes’ connection grow stronger makes him “so happy that she has someone like that in her life right now.”

Siwa and Hughes, 32, sparked romance rumors after forming an unlikely friendship on the most recent season of Celebrity Big Brother UK. After leaving the competition, Siwa raised eyebrows after her relationship with then-partner Kath Ebbs ended. Siwa told Us Weekly in a May cover story that her friendship with Hughes had “absolutely nothing to do with my breakup” and that she and the Love Island alum were still in touch.

“We still speak all the time, obviously, naturally,” Siwa told Us of her status with Hughes at the time. “Now to be out of the house, we just exist, and it is what it is. We’re happy, and we have each other. It’s a great little special friendship that we have.”

Later that month, Siwa shared a series of snaps from her birthday celebration where Hughes was in attendance. The Instagram post featured multiple pics of her and Hughes looking cozy.

“This years birthday week was more magical than anything,” Siwa captioned her carousel of snaps. “Full of surprises, family time, performing, chilling, laughing, loving, smiling, and good meaningful cries. Absolutely beautiful, wouldn’t change a single thing a week I’ll remember for the rest of my life.”

Following Siwa’s birthday bash, The Sun obtained photos of Siwa and Hughes kissing while on vacation in Mexico. (Us Weekly reached out to both Siwa and Hughes reps for comment at the time.)

Despite their close bond, Siwa seemingly clarified that she and Hughes are not exclusively dating after ITV’s Lorraine host Andi Peters referred to Hughes as Siwa’s “boyfriend.”
