JoJo Siwa Spotted With ‘CBB’ Costar Chris Hughes Amid Kath Ebbs Split

JoJo Siwa was spotted out and about over the weekend with her Celebrity Big Brother UK costar Chris Hughes after splitting from Kath Ebbs.
Siwa, 21, and former Love Island UK contestant Hughes, 32, were seen at a golf and tennis club in the U.K. on Sunday, April 27, per a photo shared by an X user. “JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes were at my golf club earlier lol,” the user captioned the photo, which shows Siwa in a black T-shirt, while Hughes can be seen in a black vest carrying what appears to be tennis equipment.
Later Sunday, Hughes reposted an Instagram Story originally shared by pal James Halas showing him, Siwa and a group of friends inside a pub. “Band back together,” Halas wrote alongside the image, in which Siwa and Hughes sit next to each other as the Dance Moms alum rests one hand on Hughes’ shoulder.
The sighting came just 24 hours after Siwa’s partner, Australian DJ Kath Ebbs, confirmed they had broken up at an afterparty following the Celebrity Big Brother UK season 24 finale on Friday, April 26. (Siwa came third during Friday’s broadcast while Hughes came sixth.)
JoJo Siwa’s LGBTQIA+ Journey on Celebrity Big Brother UK Explained
On Saturday, April 26, the content creator shared a video via Instagram, admitting they were “in a state of shock” and “honestly feel[ing] so numbed out right now and so disoriented” while addressing the camera. (Ebbs identifies as nonbinary and uses they/them, she/her/hers pronouns.)
Ebbs said they spent two weeks “sitting back, watching certain things unfold” —seemingly referring to Siwa’s time on Celebrity Big Brother UK — and that it’s been tough “not being able to get any clarity from the person” with whom they were romantically involved.
“I haven’t processed enough to, if you’d want to call it love bombing or whatever, but it seems to me I have experienced a version of that,” they went on. “Being told that I’m the love of someone’s life, being asked to marry them before The Social Experiment, being adored throughout behind closed doors, being hurt by what I saw but wanting to work through it … to be met with, I guess, further humiliated in a weird way.”
Ebbs claimed they flew to “the live show to show up for my partner and support them in their experience, and then obviously later on address my feelings,” but revealed that they were “dumped” at the afterparty.
JoJo Siwa Through the Years: From ‘Dance Moms’ and Beyond
Siwa’s close friendship with Hughes on CBB UK raised eyebrows among viewers. According to Ebbs, “I was told there are confused feelings there … that they realized in the house that I wasn’t the person they wanted to spend the foreseeable [future with].”
During her time on CBB UK, Siwa went on a journey of self-discovery, realizing she no longer identifies as a lesbian.
“I’ve always told myself I’m a lesbian, but I think you — I think being here, I’ve realized, ‘Oh no, I’m not a lesbian, I’m queer,’” the “Karma” singer told housemate Danny Beard, who previously appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK. “I think that’s really cool. I’m switching letters.”
