Justin Bieber has barely been onstage for the better part of the last three years, but he made a grand re-emergence last night (May 23) with SZA as part of the latter’s Grand National tour with Kendrick Lamar at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

The pair performed a version of “Snooze,” which originally appeared on SZA’s 2022 album SOS but spawned a Bieber-featuring acoustic take that was released the following year. Decked out in a Balenciaga coat, Bieber repeatedly kissed SZA’s hand before they danced in tandem.

On Wednesday, Lizzo served as a special surprise guest during SZA’s set to perform the remix of “Special.” The Grand National tour resumes at SoFi tonight and concludes Aug. 9 in Stockholm.

As for Bieber, beyond a private July 2024 set at a wedding in India and a Coachella cameo with Tems and Wizkid a few months earlier, he hasn’t been on the road since 2022. That tour in support of the album Justice was postponed multiple times due to COVID-19 and again when Bieber was suddenly diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which left one side of his face paralyzed.
