Mel B Picks ‘Terrifyingly Sexy’ Duo for Her ‘AGT’ Golden Buzzer

One of America’s Got Talent’s most memorable acts is coming back for a second chance at the top prize.
On the Tuesday, June 3, episode of NBC’s competition show, Soffien Messoudi and Karim Messoudi — better known as the Messoudi Brothers — returned to perform a brand-new act.
“We always regretted not making it into the finals,” Soffien shared. “When we heard it was season 20, it was the perfect time to come back. We have some unfinished business here so we spent the last six years developing something completely new. There’s a lot on the line for us.”
In season 14, the duo made it to the semi-finals of America’s Got Talent with a balancing act. This summer, the brothers are back and ready to juggle in a whole new way.

During their audition, both Soffien and Karim juggled knives as they stripped down from their suits to their boxer briefs. As an added twist, the duo found a way to put their clothes back on — all while juggling nonstop.

“It was breathtaking,” Simon Cowell shared at the end of the audition. “That might be the only time I’ve liked a juggling act. I’m being serious. It felt different. We always say, this show relies on moments and that’s what I call a moment — big time.”
Howie Mandel — who shared his Golden Buzzer last week — called it “incredibly dangerous,” while Sofía Vergara was impressed that the act went on when one of the brothers ripped a hole in his suit jacket.
“To see how hard it was — I felt like you had a little trouble — that made it even better,” she explained. “We realized how hard it is.”
Perhaps it was Mel B who was left the most impressed. While the Spice Girls member remembered their performances from season 14, she couldn’t believe how much they had improved over the years.
“I didn’t think you could top it, and it was really frightening to watch you take [your clothes] off but I was also scared for you to put them back on,” she said. “I do think I want to say one thing to you. I think you are perfect.”
Without pausing, Mel B pressed the Golden Buzzer for the Messoudi Brothers, allowing them to automatically advance to the live shows.

“You deserve it,” she said, before calling the brothers “terrifyingly sexy” and cool. “It was so frightening.”
Sofia playfully added, “I was going to do it! That was my golden buzzer. She took it away!”
