The “Call Me When You Break Up” singer’s understated show of support was spotted on Wednesday, May 21, the same day she posted a cryptic Instagram Story expressing words of wisdom with an unidentified person.

Gomez reshared a post that said, “You matter. Your voice matters. Your heart matters. You are worth so much more than you know.”

“You know who you are and I’m cheering you on,” the actress and singer wrote in her Story.

Gomez previously dated Justin on and off from 2009 to 2018. Justin married Hailey in a courthouse wedding in September 2018. The couple welcomed their first child, son Jack Blues, 8 months, in August 2024. Gomez, meanwhile, is now engaged to music producer Benny Blanco.

Earlier this week, Hailey landed her first-ever solo U.S. Vogue cover, prompting her husband, Justin, 31, to make a candid confession about an argument he once had with his wife.

“Yo, this reminds me when Hailey and I got into a huge fight,” Justin captioned a photo of Hailey’s cover via Instagram on Tuesday. “I told Hails that she would never be on the cover of Vogue. Yikes, I know, so mean.”

The “Baby” singer said he made the remark to “get even” with Hailey after feeling disrespected.

However, Justin admitted that he was in the wrong, writing, “I think as we mature, we realize that we’re not helping anything by getting even, we’re honestly just prolonging what we really want, which is intimacy and connection.”

“So baby u already know but forgive me for saying u wouldn’t get a Vogue cover cuz clearly i was sadly mistaken,” he concluded, celebrating Hailey’s big achievement.

Justin later deleted the caption after being criticized by fans in the comments. He replaced the text with a series of emojis.
