THAT’S Why WHCA Canceled Amber Ruffin
Amber Ruffin got a raw deal. Now, we know why.
The far-Left comic was slated to appear at the annual White House Correspondents’ Association D.C. gala over the weekend. The WHCA feted her comic chops in announcing her appearance. Then, weeks later, the same body canceled her gig.
They failed to share a credible explanation as to why, save a generic plea to bring people together. And, it was abundantly clear, Ruffin planned to skewer all things GOP, including President Donald Trump.
Democrats? Not so much. And it’s not due to a lack of material.
In light of news that “Maryland man” Albrego Garcia was caught transporting 8 people in a KNOWN human smuggler’s vehicle (who he ID’d as his “boss”), I’d like to remind Democrats:

That’s not unlike recent WHCA affairs. Most comics tapped for the gala lean Left and make that clear during their comments.
Ruffin would be more of the same, but possibly even more mean-spirited than Michelle Wolf’s infamous 2018 routine.
If that’s possible.
The event told us why the group nixed her at the last minute. The assembled journos worked overtime to pretend they’re fair, apolitical Beltway observers.
It’s the biggest lie since Milli Vanilli.
“President Biden’s decline and its cover-up by the people around him is a reminder that every White House, regardless of party, is capable of deception,” [Axios reporter Alex Thompson] added.
“Some people trust us less because of it,” he said. “We bear some responsibility for faith in the media being at such lows. I say this because acknowledging errors builds trust, and being defensive about them further erodes it.”
“We should have done better,” he concluded.
They knew better. They actively hid the truth for partisan purposes. The average American, with access to social media, knew Biden’s mental difficulties for years. You didn’t need special access to see it.
Just functional eyes and ears.
Trust us, said new WHCA president Eugene Daniels told the assembled crowd, “We are not the enemy of the state.”
Daniels works for MSNBC. Let that soak in.

The vast majority of political journalists are unabashed activists. They’re an extension of the Democratic Party, and they proved it anew over the past four years.
They looked the other way as a dementia-addled president led the country. They held their tongue in between covering for President Joe Biden’s diminished mental state.
It’s a stutter!
It’s a cheap fake!
Now, with Biden out of the White House, they can tell the “truth.” And maybe sell a few books along the way.

Shameless can’t fully capture the Fourth Estate’s corruption.
That’s why the assembled journos couldn’t have Ruffin torching Trump as she promised she would. It would be terrible optics for their pretend mea culpa.
Ditching Ruffin was dishonest to the core, or “on brand” for today’s journalist.
