The Masked Singer has revealed the identity of the Mad Scientist Monster — and it may not be the country singer you were expecting.

This post contains spoilers for The Masked Singer season 13 finale.

During the Wednesday, May 7, finale of Fox’s hit reality show, viewers discovered that Mad Scientist was the one and only Brian Kelley.

“It was a heck of an experience,” Kelley, 39, exclusively told Us Weekly on Wednesday of his time on the series. “I would do it all over again. And I would recommend it. If anybody gets the opportunity, go do it! Go enjoy it. Go crush it. Man, it was so fun.”

What Happens to ‘The Masked Singer’ Costumes Once the Show Is Over?

For the past several weeks, the country singer was hidden under the Mad Scientist costume as he performed unique renditions of Sugarland’s “Stay,” Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” and Shawn Mendes’ “There’s Nothing Holding Me Back.”

After the performances, the judges’ panel — featuring Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong and Rita Ora — was left stumped about who could be under the costume. Some guesses, however, proved to be the ultimate praise for Kelley.

Ronnie Dunn was one that I was like, ‘Dang, that’s a huge compliment. Holy smokes.’ He’s one of the GOATS,” Kelley told Us. “Another one was Trace Adkins. I was like, ‘I don’t know about that.’ He’s got a bigger, deeper voice than me, and he’s bigger than me, too. So he’d have been huge in that costume. He would have been like, Shaq size.”

Speaking of that costume, Kelley is used to performing in different climates and environments all around the world. But when he had to put on his Masked Singer costume, things got extra hot.

After one of his performances, Kelley recalled asking for a fan and some napkins “because I got tears going in my eyes and going down to my toes.”

“I’m a Florida boy. I love the heat,” he added. “I walk outside and my forehead starts sweating. So it’s nothing that I wasn’t used to.”

Now that Kelley’s identity has finally been revealed, he’s hoping new and old fans alike will get to experience his voice live and in person.

‘The Masked Singer’ Winners Through the Years: Where Are They Now?

Beginning July 24, the country artist will hit the road for his Sunshine State of Mind Tour. He’s also promising more new music, including his latest collaboration with Huntt Garrett titled “Meet Me At the Bar.”

“I’m just grateful for the opportunity [of The Masked Singer],” Kelley told Us. “I didn’t know what to expect, but I left with a deeper sense of confidence. I left with just a sense of self, freeing myself. I didn’t have to worry about what genre I am. It’s a challenge to just really go be yourself and show people that I could sing this, I could do this, or we could try this, and hopefully you like it.”

The Masked Singer is available to stream on Hulu.
